australia this march

the near year is well and truly off at a gallop and this march sees this is the kit and rozi plain off on an australian adventure.
in duo formation to play at adelaide festival on the 5th of march

due to an unfortunate stroke of bad luck all but one of our previously booked gigs have fallen through. leaving us in an interesting predicament.
so..
if you know anyone who has a gig we can tag onto then please feel free to bandy about the following blurb of info about this is the kit:written as ever in the third person.

blurb
"They will be in Oz as a two-piece band.
All acoustic show are possible -- as are DIY or private shows. Lead singer Kate Stables has a bell-clear voice & real presence.

Aaron Dessner from The National is producing their upcoming album (fall 2013 or Jan 2014).

Aaron guests on bass here. This will be the follow-up project to his work with Local Natives, Sharon Van Etten and the forthcoming The National album. May be some contributions from Arcade Fire's Richard Reed Parry, too. This is a project very close to our hearts.

Here's some other hype if that helps!

The Guardian (December 2013): Gig of the week "Don't be fooled by...Kate Stables's acoustic guitar: This Is The Kit are no new folkiesthe group's music does thrive in minimal settings, where it can better highlight Stables's charmingly unmannered voice, but their songs seem to come from no tradition but their own. The band have so far run to two albums of sideways glances at life, an approach that can sometimes lead them towards the quirky, domestic and twee, but often rejuvenates familiar constituent parts."
