Lady fest Bristol this weekend !

Bristol Ladyfest is finally upon us!

It’s not too late to head down to The Hawaiian Bar (until recently known as The County Sports Club) on Colston Street tonight. There you’ll find Bellies!, Annette Berlin, Crash Paris, Gaptooth and I Am Horse playing sets to open Bristol Ladyfest. Doors open at 19:30 and it’s £5 entry or £3 with a Ladyfest ticket.

Things really kick off tomorrow at the Fleece. Featuring performances by This is the Kit, Shrag, Mary Epworth, The Hysterical Injury, She Makes War, Rozi Plain, Rachael Dadd, Straylings, The Horn the Hunt, Drunken Butterfly and Rita Lynch, doors open at £2. Day tickets can still be purchased from http://drunkenwerewolf.bigcartel.com, or you can chance it and pay £15 on the door from 2pm/£10 on the door from 7pm. But be warned – they’re selling quick! This will also be your last chance to get a weekend ticket at £25.

The following day we’ve got films by Miranda July (The Future), Carol Morley (Dreams of a Life) and Sarah Julia Clark (Studio Her) at No 51; documentaries by Naomi Smyth (Invisible Circus) and the FGM campaign (Silent Scream) at Art House alongside Q&A sessions with all; plus workshops, art, zines, unplugged sessions and classes at Hamilton House. That evening will see our closing event – What the Frock!’s second comedy night, with Rose Wilby, Elf Lyons, Zarha Barri and O’Shea and Ogilvie bringing the laughs. Again, you can purchase a ticket from http://drunkenwerewolf.bigcartel.com or at the Hub, Hamilton House from 10am. Comedy only tickets are available at £6 from http://ladyfestwhatthefrock.eventbrite.co.uk/
